When I'm not entertaining big girl and convincing her my attention and love for her is still the same, baby wakes up and needs me. It's a never ending cycle of me pleasing everyone else and while I know it won't last forever I'm about to go nuts. Not to mention my house is a complete and utter disaster and I'm having a hard time dealing with it even though I know it isn't important and I shouldn't care. BUT I DO.
Enough of my ranting! In the next week or so I'll have Rosemary Clement-Moore's interview, as well as Rose Pressey, winner of the baby weight guessing game. And near the end of the month, or maybe the beginning of March depending on my adjustment period, I'll blog again about book trailers.
And with that, I'll leave you with the Thought of the Day:
“The will to win,
the desire to succeed,
the urge to reach your full potential…
these are the keys that will unlock
the door to personal excellence.”
~ Eddie Robinson
What a lovely thought for the day! Thanks! 8^)
ReplyDeleteSha t-bebe. She's an angel! I hope you are getting your rest. As a mom of 3 reeeeeeal close together who had sleep deprivation for at least 5 years, remind yourself how important it is to get your shut-eye. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh book trailers! I've discovered a new kick: making them out of movie clips (basically fan vids). I made one for my book, and will probably hold a contest to make one for someone else's book in the near future. It's more fun making them than it is to watch them!
The baby looks more adorable each day. Lucky you. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd as an older sister, I can sympathize. Unfortunately my parents often encouraged sibling rivalry, in the hope that it would urge me and my brother on to better behavior or greater accomplishment. It did, but it damaged our relationship. I'm glad you're not like that.
What an awesome picture, and glad to have you back!! Big sister will grow into her role the more she feels she's needed, like helping, etc. And make a date just you and her (okay, maybe just an hour between feedings, but you get the idea).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Christa. Sending good thoughts and hugs.
ReplyDeleteAw, what a sweety. My second son was born in November, so I know exactly what you're going through with the older sibling trying to adjust, acting out, acting babyish -- and other times, saying, "I give baby hug!" and just melting my mommy heart. :)
ReplyDeleteGet rest. :)
By the way, Christa and everyone else...
ReplyDeleteBest sibling rivalry picture ever.
I had the same issue with my 2 girls, born 2 1/2 yrs apart. Hang in there.
ReplyDeletethat foto is precious. and aww on big sis regressing. it's tough. she'll adjust soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! And I laughed at that picture, Marian, it's great! As an update, she is adjusting much better. Baby steps!
ReplyDeleteHang in there, lady. You're doing great!
