It's always a good sign for a book when I start and finish it the same day. The Lightning Thief was really enjoyable! Can't wait to read the next one. And I'm relieved, while there are some similarities, Mythic is definitely a different kind of story. Now to decide which to read next, The Splendor Falls, Forest of Hands and Teeth, or Hush, Hush.

Decisions, decisions.....

  2. Splendor Falls it is! Of course, the thickest of the books (lol) will probably take me more than one day.

And yes, definitely going to see the movie when it comes out (Percy Jackson). Was going to anyway, but a definite now. Thanks for stopping by, Jamie!

  3. Never read Lightning Thief but my daughter owns it and she's re-read it at least 15 times. One of her favorites. I LOVED Hunger Games, and really need to go after Catching Fire. That was an awesome story and completely makes you feel like you can't write at all, the writing is that good.

  4. Haven't read Lightning Thief yet... isn't it being made into a movie?

  5. It is! Though, I'm a little disappointed, because after watching the trailers I already know they changed a lot from the book. I hate when they do that. :(

  6. Loved Hush, Hush. I'm a bit of a sucker for YA books. I'm such a dork at Barnes and Nobles as I stand in the teen section trying to eavesdrop on the teens to figure out which book to devour next. :)

  7. Hi Tiffany! I do the same thing. I've also given recommendations before (I'm sure they thought I was weird, some adult person telling them which books are cool). I still haven't started the next book, math tests stink. Hopefully will get to one of them by the end of the week.

  8. Oh my gosh! I thought I was the only crazy one to do that! Over Christmas, I stopped a mother from letting her 4th grade daughter buy a book from the teen shelf and guided her to the MG stuff. If looks could kill, I'd be dead ten times over. When we finally get a chance to meet up, we should totally be "those old ladies" in the teen section, trying to hang with the "cool kids" for recommendations and of course to put out two cents in. :)

BTW: You're kind of scaring me. I think I've found my other half. There is just a little too many things we seem to have in common.
