Self Control

Is it bad that I have none? Seriously? I felt all accomplished today because I stayed away from the computer more than usual, and got EVERYTHING on my list of To Dos done. So, with nothing left to get done, I decided, what the hey, why not read up on the blogs I follow? And then I realized what a horrible blogger I am. Hah! Something to work on, yeah? I didn't even blog about the crazy snowpocalypse that attacked us this past weekend. I was way too busy building the snowfamily:

Yup, that's the fam. Me, my husband (and we both lack accessories thanks to my frozen fingers and toes), baby A and Big A. Big A was the first, which is why she's nice and fancy. And doncha just love the expression on the Snowdaddy?

But yes, it was crazy the kind of snow we got. IN TEXAS. Texas, people. Granted, the snowing thing has become a sort of random drive-by during the winter season. We actually had a white Christmas this 2009, and I don't think we've had one in like, 20 years. Some more beautiful snow-covered Texas:

And then I tried my hand at snow sculpting. I introduce to you the armless ice princess. (see the crown? and the fancy hair do? I swear it's there!)

And there you have it. My disaster in self control of staying away from blogging, and some fabulous pictures of snow in Texas.

  2. Love the snow family! I'm impatiently awaiting our supposed snow today. I want my lawn to look as pretty and white as yours!

  3. Wow! That's a lot of snow! Can I say I'm envious? I miss snow. It doesn't snow here more than once every 50 years or so.

  4. Thanks Sara! And snow IS gorgeous before it's been trampled on. Trying to explain to a one-year-old why they can't walk in the yard, though, lest they get lost beneath the white...well...yeah. Doesn't work so much. Sue, that stinks! As much as I love snow, I really miss warm weather.

  5. Snow isn't so gorgeous when you get 150 inches of it each year. Yuck.

  7. C- I can imagine. I know I'd be sick of seeing it after one week.

Sharla- Sorry it missed you! Big A had a blast. It was all I could do to keep her inside and warm. She even wanted snow in her bath. :-o

  8. LOL! I love the snowdaddy. Classic! Your pictures are so much prettier than mine.

I live in Watauga. So, the next time we get hit with a snowpocalypse feel free to come make the one armed princess in my front yard. : D

    Nice to meet you!

  12. Love your snow family. I'm pretty sure it's in The Rule Book that you can only be good at one thing. So pick one.
    :)
