Well, first I'll start with the reading news. I read Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick in half a day, and the last of the Mortal Instruments series, City of Glass (by Cassandra Clare), in one day, and I'm way behind on government, hah! Both were very good. I'm a sucker for teen romance. I won't spoil City of Glass in case some of you haven't read either of the first two, but I can say "phew" to what was going on there! And if Edward isn't stalkerish enough in Twilight, sexy and mysterious Patch from Hush, Hush fixes that!
But the best news? I found out MYTHIC is a finalist (there are 4 finalists total!) in the North Texas RWA Great Expectations contest. So thrilled! I'm off to read the judges' comments from the first round. I submit any changes by early next week and then it's up to an editor from HarperCollins to pick the winner. Wish me luck! And have a fabulous weekend!

Shine on!
Yay! That is so exciting! Contests can be a great way to get your work in front of editors and agents, since sometimes they ask for more of the manuscript.
ReplyDeleteI've got my fingers crossed for you!
Oh. My. Gosh. How exciting!!! I've totally got butterflies in my stomach for you!
ReplyDeleteWhen you become rich and famous, remember your friend. Oh, wait, I'm more of a blogstalker that just so happens to live in the same town.
I'm so glad you liked Hush, Hush. Patch is awesome, but maybe I can just relate to his stalker tendencies. :)
I CAN NOT wait to find out if you're picked!!
Haha Tiffany you crack me up! We really need to get together. Speaking of slakerish tendencies, ever go to Dunn Bros? I love that place. We should meet up!
ReplyDeleteDonna, thanks so much!
